Judd’s Hill Winery is a premium boutique winery located on a 14-acre hillside
in the eastern hills of Napa Valley owned and operated by the multi-talented
Finkelstein Family: Art and Bunnie, son Judd and wife Holly. Since Judd’s
Hills’ first release in 1989 of a Cabernet Sauvignon, they devote themselves to
making small lots of premium handcrafted wines. Juddshill.com
Judd Finkelstein was raised in Napa Valley. He graduated from The Walter
Cronkite School of Journalism and Telecommunication at Arizona State
University with a bachelor's degree in Television Production, but you might say winemaking was in
his blood. Since he was a tot, his parents were making wine. From pruning to picking to punching to
pressing, Judd has been involved in every facet of winemaking, and he also studied winemaking at
UC Davis and Napa Valley College. One of Judd's other passions is playing his ukulele, both solo
and with his band, The Maikai Gents Featuring The Mysterious Miss Mauna Loa. You can learn more
and hear what it all sounds like at www.mkgents.com. Judd has also started a ukulele club in the
Napa Valley, The Wine Country Flea Jumpers.
Holly Finkelstein is the CFO for Judd’s Hill. Besides running the day-to-day operations for her
family’s winery and MicroCrush custom winemaking businesses, Holly is one of the youngest women
in the country running a winery. Holly has an MBA from the Peter Drucker Graduate School of
Management. Before falling in love with wine and her husband, winemaker Judd Finkelstein,
Holly served as the Program Officer of Steven Spielberg’s Righteous Persons Foundation, a
philanthropic fund based in Los Angeles.
